CYCLING

Hanstead Park, and the surrounding area, is a beautiful place to ride your bike with a wide variety of scenery and designated traffic-free routes.

Several local schools, shops, sports facilities, and employment areas are accessible within 15 minutes of Hanstead Park. To help out, we have summarised the distance and cycle times to several local amenities on this website.

You can cycle to all the facilities in Bricket Wood and parts of St Albans within around a 30-minute ride. Within Bricket Wood, close to Hanstead Park, runs the national cycle network routes 6 and 61, which are mainly on-road routes that run in a north-south direction along Park Station Lane, Station Road and School Lane.

A Cycle Voucher worth a £100 will be available per household!

Explore your local community by bike!

We’re encouraging families to get more out of life – by getting on your bike and exploring the local community – either for an outing at the weekend, or a trip to the local shops, part of the school run, or daily commute.
